Bauer Vapor X:20 Hockey Stick 2009 - 2010 |

The X:20 is the entry level offering of the Vapor series of hockey sticks by Bauer. The X:20 offers moderate performance at a reasonable price.
Composite fiberglass / carbon fiber provide a relatively stiff blade and lower shaft unit. The shaft geometry is similar to the higher end Vapor X designs with "Micro Feel II" double concave walls and slightly rounded corners. Vapor's premium shaft taper design provides a low kick point.
Testing the stick, I found decent power with both wrist shots and slappers and good accuracy (ratings slightly above the X:40's numbers). Stick handling provided reasonable feel, although the blade was noticeably thick feeling. The concave shaft design was comfortable in the hands and overall stick balance was good, but markedly blade heavy.
Bottom Line: An excellent entry level one-piece composite hockey stick with good power and feel and very good accuracy. Performs well above its price. 82 points.
