Bauer Vapor X:50 Review

Number two for 2010 in the Vapor series of hockey sticks by Bauer is the X:50. Although considerably cheaper than the X:60 model, high performance design and features still go into the construction of this stick.

The blade features the familiar Areo Foam II® core construction for feel and dampening, wrapped by the high performance TeXtreme® nano technology carbon fiber fabric. The stick shaft features a dual taper design for structural performance and the Micro Feel II dual concave shaft covered with Bauer's Stick'um grip coating provides solid feel and control

Testing the stick, I found the stick to have good balance but with a slightly blade heavy feel. Stick handling with the X:50 was fast and sure. The blade, although stiff, seemed very responsive. Shooting performance was excellent, with good accuracy and excellent velocity for the price point.
