The S7 is Easton's sub-$80 version of the Stealth Elliptical Profile hockey stick. Stick construction is fiberglass with a Kevlar wrapped added to the shaft. Easton's Micro-Bladder blade and shaft construction process that helps provide a permanent, solid blade / shaft bond. Shaft geometry offers the familiar front and back wall concave, but has a boxier, less round feel. Grip coating is standard on the S7.
Tipping the scales at just over 575 grams, it is not surprising the stick feels heavy, as do most composite sticks in this price range. Not as blade heavy as the S13, the S7 wears its weight slightly above the shaft collar, giving it a solid, but shaft-heavy feel. Stick handling with the S7 was, according to my notes, "heavy shaft feeling with poor puck sense... bland". Shooting performance was better, from my shot testing notes, "Nice grip, flex feel... feels more expensive & responsive then the price point. Heavier, but balanced. Accuracy was well above average and comparable to high-end products.
Bottom Line: An mid-entry level, shaft-heavy stick with muted puck feel, but very good shot and accuracy performancy for the price. 80 points.
